• Use a chalk link to snap out a grid.
• Transfer the art onto the grid with sidewalk chalk.
• Use a leaf blower to get rid of any excess chalk dust.
• Cover every line with duct tape to create a giant paint-by-number. You'll need pocket knives to cut the tape.
• The paint I am using is GAF Streetbond 150.
• Dab out the colors with a small brush so volunteers know where to paint each color.
• The first coat is applied with scrub brushes, the kind you might use on a bathtub. This functions similarly to the "crumb layer" when icing a cake. Seal everything down.
• The second coat is also applied with a scrub brush.
• The third and fourth coats are applied with 4" rollers.
• Each coat takes 40 mins to dry.
• Peel up the tape while the fourth coat is drying.
• Allow the final coat to cure for 60 mins before reopening to traffic.

This is how you cut duct tape:
Don't drag your knife across it. You'll just ruin your knife and you won't cut the tape.
Hold your knife still and pull the tape up against the blade. You want to use short pieces of tape for curves. Perfect every time!
ASMR Street Painting
This is how you scrub the street with paint:
Don't try to "spackle" the cracks. It will never dry.
Thin coats of paint are essential to keep drying times short.
1st & 2nd coats are applied with a scrub brush. 3rd and 4th coats are rolled on.
